The organization of Marbella 4Days Walking signed an agreement with Cudeca in order to raise funds for the NGO. Participants can make a donation to the charity when they sign up on the internet. Cudeca will also be present during the event in October to inform the public about their work.

Cudeca is a NGO which offers free specialized care for cancer patients and other terminal patients. They also offer council to the family members. “We find it important to help organizations that are dedicated to improve the quality of life at the Costa del Sol” says Hans Wohl. “We know that every year there are walkers who have just been cured of cancer and decided to celebrate this with a walking holiday in Marbella. Besides we know from experiences that our own volunteers have had, as a patient or as family, with Cudeca that their medical staff and volunteers are doing a great job. We are very happy to collaborate with them.”

When signing up on the internet, walkers can choose to donate a certain amount to Cudeca or Triple A (care of abandoned animals). The organization of M4DW adds 1 euro for every 5 euro donated and transfers the whole amount to the charities. The NGO’s also have a free tent at their disposal during the event so they can promote their organisation and sell products in order to raise more funds.
